Hosting

With over 15 years of experience developing and maintaining websites, I’ve collaborated with numerous web hosting providers. Below is a curated list of hosts I’ve personally used or verified as reliable based on my expertise. Disclosure: Some links are affiliate links.

DreamHost:
I’ve trusted DreamHost for over a decade for personal and client projects. Their service is stable, and support is responsive. While Shared Hosting is sufficient for basic sites, I recommend their VPS Hosting for better performance and flexibility. Ghost can be self-hosted on DreamHost VPS with manual setup.

Namecheap:
Namecheap is a solid provider with excellent pricing and dependable infrastructure. Their VPS Hosting includes full root access, making it a cost-effective option for running Ghost. Ghost can be installed on Namecheap VPS with manual setup.

Bluehost:
Bluehost offers reliable uptime and solid support. Their VPS plans include root access and SSD storage, providing the flexibility needed to host Ghost independently. Ghost can be installed on Bluehost VPS with manual setup.

Ghost(Pro):
Ghost.org offers the official managed Ghost(Pro) hosting. It’s the easiest way to get started with Ghost — fully maintained, secure, and optimized. To use custom themes, choose the Creator plan or higher, as the Starter plan only supports official themes.
